AMC Theaters Threatens Legal Action Against Moviepass

Moviepass, a subscription-based service that allows cinema-goers to see one movie a day has been causing a commotion in the theater industry when they announced their new price of $9.99/month in August. Almost immediately AMC Theaters (“AMC”) announced that they would pursue legal action against the service, but have yet to file a complaint. At first, there were questions as to the legality of Moviepass, which have since settled.
