The person that I am going to interview in-depth is named “Bruce” because we
have known each other for more than fifteen years. After graduating from a Chinese university in 2009, he decided to come to America not only for enriching his horizon and experiencing different culture in a highly democratic and free country through pursuing master degree of computer engineering at Northeastern University, but also for working in America, because working experience is important and helpful for him to get the Permanent Resident Card and live in America. He is now 24 years old and has been working as a computer engineer at a company called Acme in Boston for over one year.

The Chinese American community is the largest overseas Chinese community in North America, closely followed by the Chinese communities in Canada and Mexico.What’ more, most of Chinese people are highly educated, so they work as white collar professionals,salaried professionals whose work is largely self-directed in management, and related occupations such as engineering, medicine, investment banking, law, and academia.
