Law Library, Erin Kenna

The library is a great place to study. Yet, during midterms and finals the library at Tremont can get a bit crowded with students. I usually find enough space and quiet to do my work but this time I could not. What was I to do? I heard about the library at the law building on 120 Tremont Street. All you have to do is cross the street to get there. Undergraduates are allowed and I got a lot of work done there. It is located on the top floor of the beautiful law school building. In the building are also some mute courts that are breathtaking. Compared to the district courts they are much nicer! There is more room and less noise so you can get your work done. Suffolk food, Erin Kenna

The meal plan at Suffolk University is ridiculous. The amount of money spent and the food you can eat is restricted. This means that if you still have extra money by the end of the year that it goes away, rather it goes to Suffolk. Also, the money on the meal plan can never be converted to “real money” that can be spent on better food (which at this point means anything outside of Suffolk). After about three months of the same quality food I am definitely going to spend money in the many delicious restaurants that Boston has to offer. If anyone has any complaints about the food in Suffolk there are often comment sheets. I have submitted a comment to 150 Tremont about considering adding some more sticky white rice. Guess what? There is now more rice at 150! Feel free to comment if you’re not satisfied with the food or the lack of variety, because sometimes I myself am clearly not please. So do something about it!

Umai Sushi- Newbury St,

Tonight I ate at this delicious sushi restaurant on Newbury St. and wanted you all to know about it! The restaurant is called Umai Sushi can be found on 224 Newbury St. which is just a few doors down from the Zara store. My friend and I both ordered two different kinds of rolls and shared them with each other. I definitely recommend the spicy salmon tempura flake roll, teriyaki chicken roll, filet mignon roll, and the tuna tempura flake roll.

I apologize for the blurry images, we were in a big hurry to eat our food because it looked so good (and we were starving)!

Espresso Royale Caffe-Sofia Bruno

Espresso Royale is a caffe located at 286 Newbury street.  The baristas here are great and really know how to make a cup of coffee.  If you prefer tea they have a variety of loose leaf teas to choose from.  Espresso Royale gets fresh bagels in daily along with an assortment of baked goods.  What truly sets this coffee shop apart from the rest is its unique and relaxed atmosphere and dedication to its customers.  Outdoor seating at street level is available on nice days making it the perfect place to relax while enjoying a cup of coffee.

Sweet Cupcakes – Anicka Galipeau

It’s always caught my eye. The bright cupcakes sitting in the window, almost calling my name inside. The sugar coated cookies sat in heaps on silver platters, and glazed strawberries rest on top of fluffy, chocolate cakes. The first time I passed it, the doors were locked and all the lights were turned off, hiding the sweets inside. Recently however, the whole shop was brightly lit up, and I could see the assortment of delights, from pink cake pops to cupcakes suffocated by sprinkles. With no money in my pocket, I was forced to disappointedly leave the shop without a taste of the tempting desserts. Even though I have never tried the desserts from “Sweet” I would recommend you at least take the time to see what it has to offer. The vintage feel and ridiculously enticing cupcakes, makes it almost impossible to walk out empty handed!
