My Favorite Football (soccer) player.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is a Swedish professional footballer. He plays as a striker for Paris Saint-Germain and the Swedish national team. He is one of the worlds top strikers; he’s strong, unpredictable, has great ball control and scores a lot of jaw dropping goals. He was nicknamed Ibracadabra for his stunning powerful goals. Ibra played for four of the top teams in the world; Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan, And Barcelona. He accomplished a lot in each club he was in and lead them all to achieving trophies. This year, he beat Xavi, Pirlo, Puyol, Drogba, Casillas to win the Golden Foot award it’s only awarded to players with exceptional career achievements and over 29 years old. He is always fun to watch… Here are some videos of his spectacular goals

Thanksgiving Luncheon!

BY:KEVIN VEGA

The week before Thanksgiving I decide to attend an event, I was originally planning to attend a Discrimination and racism seminar, It turned out that it was cancelled and Instead I ended up going to the Thanksgiving Luncheon hosted by the Caribbean student network. Basically you can either donate canned goods or donate 2 dollars and in exchange you get a very delicious plate of Caribbean food which consited of chicken some rice and beans and this macaroni and cheese mixed with vegetables, Which I enjoyed and the best part that it was all for a good cause all the money also went to those less fortunate who are struggling to be fine. It was great because there was  portion where we had to reflect upon what were thankful for this thanksgiving and it made me realize that I am very thankful for everything that I have in life and that its something that shouldnt be taken for granted Like being able to go to a great school as well as having great heath and happiness!

Scoozi

Scoozi is located on 235 Newburry street. They serve panini’s, pizza, pasta and other courses. Their food is really good and the prices are not pricey for the food you’re eating. The restaurant is a bit small, but when it’s not cold they have tables and chairs outside. It gives a kind of European feel when you dine out and the weather is nice, especially since it’s on Newburry. I recommend it, it would be a nice place to take your parents or a girl to.

My Thanksgiving

Since I don’t have any family here and I don’t really celebrate thanksgiving, I spent my holiday with a couple of friends. We decided to head to a shooting range but we didn’t find any in Boston. So we rented a car and we drove to New Hampshire to go to a shooting range there. We took 2 rifles, the M16 and the AK47. Even though I was really bad at aiming and was kinda scared at the beginning, I had a great time. Funny thing happened, I was so bad at aiming I somehow was able to shoot a metal thing that was holding the target and it broke and fell. My friends and I had to wait a while til they got it fixed. Then it was back to shooting.

Hookah Lounge – Majed

This was taken in a Hookah Lounge called Habibi. It’s a middle eastern themed lounge, they play arabic music, serve hookah’s, tea and some Lebanese cuisine like hummus. You can go there by taking the B line and get off at Harvard Ave. The lounge is underground, so as soon as you get off the T head towards Mcdonalds you will see steps on the side and just go down. It looks kinda sketchy from the outside but it’s a really cool place from the inside. I go here with my friends when I feel a bit homesick, this place reminds me of home a lot since most of the costumers are middle eastern and even the workers.

Fogo De Chao – Majed

This is a Brazilian BBQ restaurant located in Copley Square. It costs $46.50 per person, but I tell you it’s worth it! You can eat as much as you want!! They have an open salad bar, and they give you this card that’s green on one side and red on the other. Whenever you flip the card to the green side, they will keep bringing slices of BBQ meats to your plate. If your plate is full of you want to take a break just flip the card to the red side. Also they have this Brazilian soda called Guarana, it was reallly good and sweet, I had 2 cans of this. I went there with 4 of my friends, just 5 men together eating meat.

Auditions Galore – Elainy Mata

For this semester, I didn’t make the play I auditioned for:(

But!, I promised myself that it wouldn’t stop me from acting again.

This week is all about auditions for shows next semester. Shows like The Crucible, The Spring Showcase, and Avenue Q. I auditioned for both The Crucible and The Spring Showcase and I received callbacks for both! To some callbacks may sound like nothing, but it’s an extremely huge deal for me because I didn’t even make callbacks for the first play that I auditioned for, so I am extremely excited. Tonight marks the beginning of callbacks for me . I’m just glad I can get back into the groove of theater which I missed very very much.On Thursday are auditions of Avenue Q. I am still debating on whether I want to audition for that. It’s 50/50 at this point . What’s needed to audition is a 1-3 minute monologue and a song and we have to be prepared to dance. Whatever decision I make , i’m prepared either way.

May audition/callback week continue !
