Allston

Allston is a great neighborhood with a lot of restaurants on every corner of the street. Even though it is kind of far from school, it is a great place especially if you are a foodie. They have a variety of food from every kind of cuisine from Mexican to Chinese and Korean. They have a great selection of bubble tea places too. They also have some places if you like live music. They have a studio where you can do arts and crafts like Tufting, Painting, and Decorating. If one of your friends happens to have their birthday, they have a great selection of bakeries to buy a birthday cake from. It is a great neighborhood to live in especially if you are a student since it is surrounded by students. The area is also safer compared to other neighborhoods but we all know that we should still be aware and stay safe!

East Boston

East Boston, nicknamed Eastie, is a neighborhood city just across central Boston. The neighboring communities include Winthrop, Revere, and Chelsea. Here is also where the Suffolk soccer field is located, where students come to play either for the use of the soccer club or just playing for fun; it is a facility used for Suffolk students.

To get there, all you need to do is take the blue line from Government Center train station. Then it should take three stops from there to reach Maverick, where the start of East Boston starts. I live near Logan Airport, and the local train station is called the “Logan Airport station,” hence the name. Around the station where I usually go, there are nice parks you could visit from either side of the station you exit.

The commute generally from my place takes about 5 minutes to the station, plus waiting and being on the train to Government Center takes about 10 mins, depending on the timing. The neighborhood itself is quiet, which makes night walks safe, as police are usually patrolling that area. Also, there are grocery stores and restaurants near the area in case you feel hungry; I suggest the ice cream shops around there if you’re ever feeling sugary!

Where do you want us to go next?
