Ford Hall Forum Planned Giving
One of the most effective and cherished gifts you can make to the Ford Hall Forum is a planned gift. Such a donation secures your legacy as a champion of free speech and intelligent dialogue. You’ll be confident that with the help of your planned gift, generations after yours will enjoy the forums as much as you did.
If you haven’t yet taken the time to decide what kind of legacy you’ll leave, now is a good time to start. You can choose from the following planned giving options that each demonstrate a significant commitment to the Ford Hall Forum and its principles.
Make a Bequest to the FHF
We welcome you to make a gift to the Ford Hall Forum in your will. Bequests can be for a dollar amount or a percentage of your estate, and in the form of cash, securities, or other personal property. Your estate will receive an estate tax charitable deduction for your donation.
Designate the FHF as a Beneficiary
You have the option to name the Ford Hall Forum as the recipient of your retirement plan (e.g. 401K), life insurance policy, or bank/brokerage account once you pass on. In doing so, these assets will transfer directly to our organization without going through probate. It’s as easy as providing the following information on your beneficiary designation form:
The Ford Hall Forum
Suffolk University
41 Temple St.
Boston, MA 02114
Tax ID: 04-1335550
Roll Your IRA Over to the FHF
If you are at least 70 ½ years old, you can roll your IRA over to the Ford Hall Forum. Best of all, until the end of 2011, this gift will count toward your minimum distribution requirement but will not be considered taxable income. To make an IRA gift, simply give your IRA administrator the information above (i.e. the Ford Hall Forum’s address and tax identification number).
If you decide to make a planned gift to the Ford Hall Forum, you may keep it a secret but we invite your disclosure so that we may thank you in person!
