CP Venue
Suffolk University Law School Building (Sargent Hall)
Completed in 1999, Sargent Hall is the main building of the Law School. The building is located at 120 Tremont Street, which is less than a minute walk from the Boston Common and the Park Street T (subway) stop. The majority of conference events will take place in this building.
Great Hall
The great hall is the large lobby space of the Law School Building, with the main entrance on Tremont Street. The room is expansive, with a marbled floor and an atrium ceiling. Four of the seven floors above look onto the lobby. Registration will be set up toward the back of the lobby, just outside the entrance to the main function room (see below). |
|
Open Space
CP attendees will find large, comfortable chairs and side tables on all floors near the atrium balconies. Wireless internet access will work throughout the building. Water and between-session refreshments could be set up in these areas. |
|
Main Function Room
The main function room on the first floor of the building is a large room with a kitchen and large utility room attached. The function room can be arranged with low tables and chairs (as shown), high cocktail-style tables, long rectangle tables, or no tables. Maximum capacity is 186 people with no tables and with chairs arranged in rows. If used for plenary sessions, an overflow room with a capacity of 75 people can be arranged for audiences over 186. |
|
Faculty Dining Room
The faculty dining room on the fourth floor of the building is a bright room that can be opened to flow into the alumni conference room. The room can be arranged with small cafe-style square tables and chairs (as shown), high cocktail tables, or rectangle tables. Could be useful as the book/exhibit room, with exhibitors set up along the walls with long tables for materials. Refreshments (coffee/tea, snacks, light breakfast) could be set up near the front entrance. |
|
Alumni Room
The alumni room on the fourth floor of the building is a bright conference room that can be opened to flow into the faculty dining room. The room can be arranged with a large table and boardroom-style chairs (as shown) or, with chairs removed, could be used for buffet-style breakfast and refreshment service. Could be useful for the CP Board meeting. |

Large Classroom
This is an example of a large classroom that holds 125 people, for the concurrent sessions. All classrooms are equipped with digital projectors, DVD players, retractable screens, white boards, PC computers, Internet connections, and sound systems. While covered drinks are permitted, food and open beverages are prohibited from all classrooms. |
|
Small Classroom
This is an example of a small classroom that holds 60 people, for the concurrent sessions. Equipped with same technology as large classrooms. The smaller classrooms would work well for workshop sessions, as the seating and tables are closely arranged and oriented toward participants. |
