Grants & Funding

The Center for Teaching & Scholarly Excellence (CTSE) is committed to supporting faculty innovation and excellence in teaching. Through our internal funding opportunities and collaborations with offices across campus, we empower faculty members to develop new teaching approaches, enhance course materials, conduct scholarly teaching initiatives, and advance student learning outcomes.

Current Opportunities for the 2024-2025 Academic Year

The Sawyer Library, Center for Teaching and Scholarly Excellence, and Office of the Provost are working together to tackle the issue of textbook affordability. One solution to this issue is the utilization of Open Educational Resources within the curriculum. The Open Educational Resource (OER) Review Grant provides stipends of $200 to members of Suffolk University's faculty who provide a review for an existing OER textbook. The intent of this grant is to introduce faculty members to OERs and encourage adoption of suitable open textbooks.  If you would like to review OER content other than a textbook, please contact us first. For more about OER, visit the Open Educational Resources LibGuide.
