Personal Documents Analysis
The first personal document I choose is a photo which is taken in 2016, the year I graduated from high school in the United States. This photo shows the graduation of Class of 2016. This is the first school that I studied in the United States, and it means a lot to me. I also met my best friends there.
The second personal document I choose is a video which is taken place in Suffolk University. It shows an event sponsored by CSSA(Chinese Students Association). CSSA is an organization dedicated to connecting Chinese students in the US and China. It is a bridge for achieving dreams, and a window for Chinese and American cultural exchange. Almost every college has a CSSA chapter, and these groups not only help Chinese students who study abroad, but they also network with other CSSAs to help more Chinese students connect with each other. The event is a big party for Chinese students to make friends, and it was co-sponsored with Emerson College’s CSSA. We prepared different games for students. Students played the games with us to break the ice and make more friends.
The third personal document is a short poem calls Those which is published in 2006. It talks about people who are far away from home and their family. It touches me in deep because we have the same feelings.
The forth personal document is a song calls “流浪歌” (the stray song). This song sang for people who are far away from home and missing their hometown and family.
The fifth personal document is my passport. Passport is my ID in other countries and the most important thing to go out of my country. It is the best way to show who I am. My passport has my US visa on it, it shows I am legally studying in the United States and it is the pass for me to come here.
