We have had to explain to a myriad of people who we are and why we have taken an interest in researching micro wind turbines for Suffolk University. It’s quite simple, actually. We are a group of five, very different, undergraduate students attending a “Science in the 21^st Century” seminar. We are not representatives of Suffolk University nor are we administrative officials on Suffolk’s Sustainability Committee. We are, however, a political scientist, a Spanish connoisseur, a sociologist, an interior designer, and a writer and, now, we can also be considered wind turbine experts. We understand the importance behind the green energy movement and dire significance in furthering “green” research- especially in the field of wind energy.

Through our research in our course and with many others in the Suffolk community, we hope to spread our groundwork and create a greater knowledge of how to utilize wind energy and ways to go about doing so. We hope to create a symbol to show Suffolk University’s support in the progression of green energy. And, ultimately, we hope to create a new way to support the research and educational values of “going green” both internally within the university and on a grander scope for universal environmentalist research studies.
