Muhammad Al Tajel

Christina Arakelian

Prior to starting her MBA, Christina was an office assistant at SS&C Eze, a software company located in Boston’s Seaport District. She managed an office of over 350 people supporting the executives as well as the day-to-day operations of the company. Prior to Eze, Christina spent 7 years in Bank of America’s Global Commercial Banking group, holding various roles centered around credit analysis and market research. Christina is pursuing an MBA degree because she is ready for more: more knowledge, more experience, and to discover more of what she wants to do next. Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Sarah Baldauf 

Sarah Baldauf is the Assistant Director of Annual Giving who works with the Student Philanthropy Center and other giving initiatives at Suffolk University. She currently manages 20 undergraduate students as they reach out to families, friends and alumni of Suffolk to make connections, build relationships and secure gifts for future generations of Rams. Prior to working at Suffolk University, Sarah was a co-manager of the phonathon program and worked in a digital communications role at Messiah College. During her last semester of undergrad, she also worked as a Copywriter for a public relations and advocacy agency in Harrisburg, PA, called the Bravo Group.

Sarah is pursuing an MBA because she is passionate about seeing and being part of positive change in the world. She hopes to round out the knowledge she has accrued from her undergraduate degree and work experience to target improving the quality of life for struggling populations. An MBA with a Nonprofit concentration will provide Sarah with the practical knowledge to run and maintain a successful nonprofit. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Education from Messiah College. She was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta Honors Society and a recipient of the provost scholarship.

Bryan Barry

Bryan Barry is an Account Manager who works with Forward Financing to help underserved small businesses acquire working capital. Bryan has had two promotions and has one direct report. His day to day includes underwriting, selling, collaborating with internal teams and responding to inquiries from clients. Bryan believes his work is important because there are 27 million small businesses in the U.S. Almost 60% are looking for quick alternative financing to help with their business. A lot of these businesses are unable to acquire a bank loan due to credit, delinquencies and so on. We are here to give them a chance. Bryan is pursuing an MBA because he wants to develop into management at his current company. Bryan has the long term goal of owning an Alternative Small Business lending company throughout South America where there is a demand for financing. Bryan hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Communications.

Andrew Brodeur

Andrew is a police officer in a midsized police department in Rhode Island. In addition to his normal patrol duties, he is a Field Training Officer and a member of the Accident Reconstruction Unit. He currently does not have any direct subordinates but on occasion he acts as the patrol shift supervisor. Prior to being a police officer, Andrew was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Andrew is pursuing an MBA degree because after his retirement from the police department he would like to set himself up for a well-paying job in the private sector. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Roger William University. He is also a POST certified Field Training Officer and a certified Accident Reconstructionist through the University of North Florida IPTM.

Quentin Bullen

Quentin Bullen is a Digital Marketing Intern who works with Micro Arts Creative Agency to build and maintain client’s social media content. I create, implement and manage the execution of a link building strategy. As well as update current agency social media strategy with new objectives and key learnings. What is most important about the work I do is the different roles and projects I can work on daily. It allows me to learn and try new things. Prior to Micro Arts, Quentin worked as an Athletic Communications Assistant for Southern New Hampshire University where he promoted games and kept fans up to date through social media. Before Southern New Hampshire University, Quentin was an Events and Social Media Manager at Clyde’s Cupcakes where he created a social media strategy to grow awareness for the brand. Quentin is pursuing an MBA degree because he wants to learn all aspects of marketing and become an expert. It will increase my communication skills and improve my theoretical and practical knowledge. Lastly, it will expand my professional network, which could lead to potential job opportunities. Quentin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Southern New Hampshire University.

John Burke

John Burke is a Contracts Leadership Development Program (CLDP) Professional who works with Aerospace and Defense experts to reliably procure trusted, innovative solutions that protect the United States and its allies. John is applying his study of law and economics to a cause he cares about: making the world a safer place. John is pursuing an MBA degree to accelerate his business acumen and explore cross-functional opportunities that support Contracts and Supply Chain. John holds a Certificate of Paralegal Studies and a Bachelor’s of Science in Politics, Philosophy, Economics (PPE) from Suffolk University. His academic focus was on the convergence of law and economics with regards to investor confidence and the role of corporate contracts.

Jacqueline Burr

Jackie Burr is an acquisition logistician who works for the Department of Defense to acquire weapon systems in order to support the United States Air Force. She is in her second year of a three-year rotational training program which allows her to oversee and manage life cycle logistics with new teams in three different programs, all of which are in different stages of the defense acquisition life cycle. The responsibilities of her job change often depending on requirements for a weapon’s reliability, sustainability, and maintainability performance measures. In order to meet system requirements, she provides continuous integration of the 12 product support elements that enable a system to sustain readiness and operational capability at an affordable cost. Jackie’s work is important because she is responsible for evaluating, developing, and performing all logistics management operations necessary to support a warfighter’s mission or a specific weapon system. Her job requires constant logistics management to monitor compliance with milestones and system performance measures. She collaborates with team members, leadership, and stakeholders daily to coordinate activities related to product support. She uses critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork skills to identify any critical components that would affect the system/mission performance, schedule, or cost.

 

Jackie is pursuing an MBA degree so she has more opportunities to impact others by promoting to higher leadership positions after completion of her MBA. Classes at Suffolk will expand her professional skills and help her communicate more effectively in a diverse business environment. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. She majored in Finance and minored in the study of Economics. She was also a Division I athlete, competing on the cross country, indoor, and outdoor track teams.

Jacob Capraro

Jacob Capraro is working with Professor Bari Bendell as part of his fellowship program. Jacob Capraro graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. Jacob hopes to integrate his business and marketing knowledge from the MBA/MSM program with his undergraduate experience to administer sustainable programs in a corporate setting. Jacob Capraro is pursuing MBA/MSM degrees to gain in-depth knowledge, training and experience in the business and marketing disciplines to provide him with a competitive advantage in the workforce. Jacob Capraro received a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from the University of New Hampshire in May 2019. As part of the program, Jacob gained knowledge related to sustainable food production and food polices, sustainable agricultural practices, and the science and management of working landscapes.

Bridgette Carrier

Bridgette is a full-time graduate student, hoping to find a job within the healthcare industry after finishing her program. Bridgette is passionate about healthcare and helping others. She values supporting providers in safe, accurate and high quality care. Bridgette is pursuing a dual degree in an MBA/MSBA because she wants to widen her career opportunities in the healthcare industry and be able to advance further in her career path. Bridgette holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Management and Policy from University of New Hampshire. Bridgette graduated Magna Cum Laude and completed minors in business administration and economics.

Jeffrey Chavin 

Jeffrey Chavin is a physician who works with Sanofi Genzyme to help patients treat their illnesses. He is currently the Interim Head of North American Medical Affairs for MS $ Neurology. He has 86 members in his organization of which 9 are his direct reports Jeff currently is responsible for developing and executing the strategy and tactics for 2 multiple sclerosis products. Previously, Jeff had been Senior Medical Director of the AUBAGIO and Franchise US Medical Affairs Team for Sanofi Genzyme in the Multiple Sclerosis Business Unit in Cambridge Massachusetts prior to which he joined Sanofi Genzyme as an AUBAGIO US Medical Director in October 2014. Jeff is pursuing an MBA degree because he would like to better understand business practices so that he can have greater impact in his current and future roles in his industry.

 

Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors from Lafayette College where he was valedictorian, and received his Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine. Jeff completed his internship at University of Pennsylvania Presbyterian Medical Center and completed his Neurology Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at Tufts Medical Center Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Sanofi Genzyme, Jeff held a faculty appointment as an Associate Professor of Neurology at Tufts Medical Center where he was the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center as well as the Director of the Neuromuscular Program.

Valerie Chen

Valerie Chen is a Full-Time Personal Trainer who works to maximize both an individual’s time and potential within a health and fitness setting. Valerie Chen is responsible for reaching out to members while providing excellent customer service. Also, creating their programs to help them get to their desired health and wellness goals. Valerie Chen is currently a Tier 2 personal trainer who will go through a training institute for the opportunity to be promoted to higher tier levels. She reports to her personal training and fitness manager. Prior to the Equinox, Valerie has always worked in a field where she ultimately wants to help people and make an impact in their lives for the better.

 

Valerie is pursuing an MBA degree because she wants to reach her maximum potential within her career combining both the Health and Fitness and Business fields together. I want to learn everything that I could possibly learn within a business setting. With my current role, I am running my own business and learning about client retention and how to be successful within this company. With the combination of doing that and obtaining an MBA, I will have a greater grasp of my career moving forward. Ultimately, I would love my next job to be in management or in a leadership role post MBA or even being able to open my own fitness facility. Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health & Kinesiology from The University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Adam Chick

Adam Chick is an Account Manager who works on Energizer Batteries to help increase sales across the country. As an Account Manager, I ideate, plan and execute both national brand and shopper marketing programs with big named retailers across the country. Adam engages shoppers at major retailers to help Energizer increase sales and maintain customer loyalty. Prior to Energizer, I worked as an Account Executive on the Procter & Gamble shopper marketing business developing campaigns both nationally and at the regional level. Adam is pursuing an MBA degree to further enhance his skills as a marketing professional and create new business experiences that will help future career opportunities at the highest levels. Adam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Suffolk University.

Andrew Cicale

Andrew Cicale is an Account Manager who works with other businesses to outfit their work spaces. Andrew is a resource for other businesses and works to ensure the products purchased arrive in a timely manner. Andrew is pursuing an MBA degree because he is interested in continuing to grow in the retail world. He hopes to become a fashion buyer upon graduation. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Suffolk University. He majored in Business Management and double minored in Marketing and Public Relations.

Carlos Cintron

Carlos Cintron is an Operations Coordinator for TA Associates. His current position oversees the daily functions of the firm’s business operations. As an Operations Coordinator, Carlos holds the responsibilities to insure the operations of the firm are up to standards and functioning properly. In the past, working with Hasbro Inc. as a Licensing Coordinator, allowed Carlos the opportunity to understand the concepts of project management and foster relations with licensors to further advance the development of products. Carlos Cintron is pursuing an MBA degree because he believes this is the right step to take his career to the next level. Carlos is pursuing an MBA with the intention to further provide innovation and leadership to his current department. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing.

Juan Gerardo Cruz Esquivel

Juan Gerardo Cruz Esquivel is an Investment Analyst who works with investors to find the assets that best fit their financial objectives. Through specialized financial markets research and financial analysis, he is responsible for finding the optimal asset allocation for investment portfolios. Additional to the investing optimizations, he has been part of a team who is accountable for providing the local-global outlook and internal reports for the Wealth Management segmentation. Juan’s role is important because he helps people make informed decisions about investing and in this way, they can meet their objectives more efficiently. Juan began his career in Mexico as a Financial Advisor in BBVA and Sura financial groups supporting bankers, advising clients on portfolios and working together with Wealth Management and Asset Management areas for two years. As he wanted to continue developing and applying more financial analysis, he joined Citi’s Investment Lab and spent the same time also collaborating with external Wealth Management teams such as Blackrock, State Street Global Advisors, Stepstone and Franklin Templeton as to having presence in the local market.

 

Juan is pursuing an MBA in order to gain leadership, business and collaboration skills. Additionally, to develop a strategic planning focus that will bring more value and global exposure to the enterprise he works with as a financial agent. Juan holds an Economics degree with a Minor in Finance from the Autonomous University of Tabasco, where he studied Economics and began to focus on Financial Markets. He currently holds Mexico’s local AMIB certifications to perform as a Financial Advisor and has been a CFA I candidate.

Brian Curran 

Brian Curran is a Financial Access Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital who works with insurance companies to financially clear patients to come into the hospital and receive treatment. The work that I do is important because it involves helping patients be able to get the necessary care they need in order to get themselves healthy. Brian is pursuing an MBA degree because he would like to expand his knowledge in the business world and post MBA would like to become a Hospital Administrator. Brian holds a BS in Business Management with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Healthcare Resource Management from Bridgewater State University.

Nicole Dassau 

Nicole is a Marketing Operations Coordinator at Suffolk University, working with faculty, students, and an in-house marketing team to portray and promote the University brand and its accompanying standards. Partnering with campus clients, the team develops integrated strategies to achieve the marketing and communication goals of individual academic and administrative units and the University as a whole. Nicole reports directly to the AVP of Marketing and Branding. Prior to her role at Suffolk, Nicole worked in the sports marketing industry. Nicole is pursuing an MBA degree because she would like to continue to grow and enhance her knowledge and skills on a topic that truly captures her interest. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Marketing from Bridgewater State University. Nicole graduated Summa Cum Laude, and has a passion for continuing education in her field.

Jacob DeGuire 

Jacob DeGuire is a Director of Human Resources who works with Greenlight Biosciences to manage all Human Resource Functions. Responsible for directing all the people functions of the organization in accordance with the policies and practices of Greenlight Biosciences, the ethical and social consciences of business and society, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. Also, Jacob is responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide the organization with the best people talent available and to position the organization as the employer of choice by being aware of policies, practices and trends within the industry. Jacob works with a team of scientists and business professionals to find solutions to food scarcity, and health issues in an environmentally responsible manner. Jacob is pursuing an MBA to improve his support of his company as it prepares for an IPO. Jacob DeGuire holds a Bachelors in Geography from the University of Tennessee at Martin, and a Masters of Arts in International Relations from Boston University.

Darcy Delaney

Darcy Delaney works for an environmental consulting firm as a Human Resources Assistant. She works to help new hires with orientation, benefits and other onboarding tasks. Darcy’s role is important because she is the first point of contact for all potential new employees and current employees with questions about benefits, policies and procedures. Darcy is pursuing her MBA because she wants to gain further education about how a business operates so she can make better educated decisions when working in Human Resources. Darcy holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication from The University of New Hampshire.

Niru Dhawan

Niru Dhawan is currently a Graduate Fellow for the Career Development Center and Graduate Admission Ambassador for Suffolk University. Before deciding to pursue an MBA, Niru interned as a Private Equity Analyst for search fund startups sourcing acquisition deals, including closing a live international due diligence deal. This gave her the opportunity to conduct extensive target market, benchmarking and forensic accounting analysis while applying advanced written and verbal French skills. She later spent 2 years in banking as a Retail Banking Analyst for product development/business banking, Residential Lending Analyst for business process operations and Product Operations Specialist for tenant/landlord innovative solutions. As an MBA student concentrating in Corporate Finance, Niru hopes to broaden her horizons, engage with business professionals in her field and achieve career and academic acceleration. Niru holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance and minor in French.

Meghan Doyle 

Meghan most recently held the singular role of Business Operations Consultant within Accenture Interactive. She was ultimately responsible for the health of the Studio while considering business metrics, chargeability, and individual employee happiness. She served as the main point of contact between the Sales and Delivery teams and facilitated successful resource planning. She worked collaboratively with the capability leads and was responsible for 3 direct reports. Most recently, she led the efforts of integrating 3 different studios within Accenture and was accountable for all business operations of those studios. Meghan is an official convert from the Healthcare Industry. Prior to working at Accenture (previously Intrepid Pursuits), she graduated with her Master’s and planned on practicing within her field as a speech-language pathologist. There, she was responsible for the evaluation and treatment of populations exhibiting speech and language impairments. She had a caseload of over 45 students at that time. She couldn’t ignore a desire to match her work with her passions and hobbies, which was technology and user adoption and experience. That lead her to Intrepid Pursuits.

 

Meghan is pursuing an MBA degree because she wants to further her existing breadth and depth of business practice. She wants to expand on her knowledge of other spheres of understanding, and is planning to pursue a career in a Product Ownership within the technology/digital space. Meghan holds an M.S in Communication Sciences from Georgia State University & a B.S in Communication Sciences from the University of Georgia. Meghan studied in both Atlanta and Athens, Georgia. She had initial plans of becoming a speech-language pathologist, but instead followed a passion into the business / technology world.

Ashley Dubuc

Ashley is a customer service representative at the Home Depot who works with a great deal of customers on a daily basis providing many services that are requested to make sure that each customer walks away satisfied. After Home Depot, Ashley worked as an intern for the summer providing legal advocacy, by communicating on the client’s behalf, to low-income clients who were facing foreclosure on their houses. Ashley is pursuing an MBA degree because she wants to open a law firm after graduation and be able to manage it properly, so having an MBA will help to accomplish this. Ashley holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship with a minor in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Milena Gigliotti Teran

Former Associate Universal Banker at Webster Bank, who helped customers with their transactions at the bank, and helped answer any questions they had related to their account(s). Before working at Webster Bank, I worked as an outside Junior Account Coordinator for Verizon FiOS, and as a teacher assistant at Universidad Evangelica in Bolivia. After obtaining my MBA/MSBA degree, I want to land a job in the STEM field where I can gain more experience in Business Analytics and Data Analysis. Milena holds a BSBA degree in Business Management from Suffolk University.

Frederick Griffin

Frederick Griffin is a Sr. Engineer with National Grid. As a Sr. Engineer in the Distribution Design Department, Frederick is responsible for the review, and approval of electric distribution designs completed by design engineers prior to construction. Currently Frederick manages the 3rd party attachments team at National Grid responsible for the 5G antenna attachment program and Last Mile Fiber build in Western, MA. Frederick’s technical background ensures material and component selection in the designs, comply with NESC Standards for electric distribution construction. Frederick is also tasked with proper accounting within design projects, and construction forecasts which have a major impact on company capital and operational expenses. Prior to his Senior promotion Frederick worked on electric distribution design programs tasked with handling maintenance of the system throughout National Grid’s New England footprint. Since 2012, Frederick has been a Storm Restoration Team Member at National Grid where he’s performed all Storm Room Roles and acted as Field Crew Coordinator in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in Long Island, NY. His current role is Storm Room Lead.

 

Frederick is pursuing an MBA degree because the energy industry is growing away from its legacy ways of doing business and moving into the future with new ideas as new technology is developed. Distributed Generation has already begun making strides toward the electrical future with electric vehicles, photovoltaic arrays and wind turbines. With technological advancements and development comes new lines of business. The MBA with a concentration in Finance couples his technical expertise with the business acumen to build and lead the teams required to carry the energy industry into its new future. His plan is to manage a team in distributed generation asset investment. Frederick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an Associates in Telecommunications from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Ma.

Melanie Haeflich

Melanie Haeflich is a Marketing Associate who works with NEPC, LLC to earn new business. Melanie works on request for proposals for a wide variety of prospective clients ranging from endowments to public funds. In 2018, Melanie was promoted from coordinator to associate. Working at NEPC, LLC allows me to help people plan for their future and have financial stability. I want to advance my knowledge about business practices in order to advance in my career. Melanie holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Connecticut.

Amanda Ho

Amanda Ho is a Business Analyst at The Boston Beer Company who works with the sales force, IT team and BI teams to create, maintain and enhance the new PowerBI reporting. She built and manages the Zendesk system which tracks data and analytics requests and questions from the sales reps and first level of sales managers. Using this data, she drives new improvements for sales reporting. She manages the training and enhancement release videos for all PowerBI users on a monthly basis. She also works with HR, FP&A and Accounting on organizational hierarchies and all internal systems. Amanda is seen as the “glue that keeps us all together” within her team and department. She works and manages a variety of different projects depending on the needs of the company. Amanda is pursuing an MBA/MSBA degree because she loves business analytics and learning more about how to run an effective business and organization. She hopes to continue doing what she loves and eventually hopes to become a Project Manager. She also wants to learn how to run an effective business to eventually take over the family’s small business. She wouldn’t rule out starting her own business either! Amanda holds a BSBA in Global Business and ISOM with a marketing minor and Big Data and Business Analytics concentration from Suffolk University.

Katelyn Houlihan 

Katelyn Houlihan is a financial analyst who works with JPMorgan Chase to provide oversight to processing teams to ensure client accounting accuracy. Currently, I am the accounting client liaison on three large pension clients. While working on client accounting books, I also work to find more efficient ways of accounting processing. I create monthly client presentations to advise on key client updates and projects to different departments. Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Katelyn worked as a client service representative at State Street Bank. She was the day to day client service lead for four clients. She managed daily inquiries and assisted in resolution with internal teams. Katie trained on AML & KYC regulation. Prior to State Street, Katelyn worked as an intern at the Rhode Island State Police, assisting in the fraud unit. Katelyn sparked interest in accounting and banking by analyzing records to prove allegations of criminal behavior at this internship.

 

Katelyn Houlihan is pursuing an MBA degree because she wants to expand her knowledge on accounting while learning more in depth about different business perspectives. Katelyn would like to earn her MBA in order to learn different effective business methods that will help in the workplace. Katelyn hopes that this degree will help her to be part of a fraud agency, assisting in preventing fraudulent activity. With the MBA degree, Katelyn hopes this will help her perform better at her job and excel at any job that she endures. Katelyn Houlihan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in finance from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.

Jonathon Howell

I am currently a Procurement and Logistics manager. My scope of work includes creating cost-savings within our janitorial supply budget and I support my COO/CFO with creating proposals for new business. I also oversee the purchasing of equipment. Prior to my current position, I served in Operations and Business. During that time, I supported the VP of Operations in several areas. I also managed payroll. The importance of my role is that I am making sure that each account does not go over their supply budget. As a low margin business (small % in profit), it is my duty to help find other ways to have less spending and more cost savings to have more profit. I hope that the MBA will increase my work skills and understanding of any business industry. It will also help me be a stronger candidate when I look for jobs. I hope I can become an Account Executive in sales. I went to Berklee College of Music and my major was Music Business – Management.

Linna Jalinskas

Linna Jalinskas is a Patient Experience Representative who works with physicians and patients at Boston Children’s Hospital with any administrative work they need. Prior to BCH, Linna interned at multiple health insurance firms. Linna is pursuing an MBA degree because she’s hoping to advance her career and create more opportunities for herself. Linna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Stonehill College.

Sherley Jules

Sherley Jules is also working to get her MSW at Boston College. With my previous exposure to social work, I know how to apply my skills both clinically and analytically with a business degree. Having the advantage of knowing both sides of the business, I will not only be a great asset to the classroom but also for the future company I will work for. Sherley Jules is pursuing an MBA degree in hopes of becoming a better leader while implementing change. She hopes to improve her skills in learning how to help others deal with stressful situations when it comes to the field of business. Sherley Jules holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

James Kelly

James Kelly is a software implementation manager who works with athenaHealth to onboard electronic health systems for hospitals and health systems. As a nurse, James provides subject matter expertise in optimizing workflows for hospital clinicians. James specializes in designing solutions which improve clinician performance, and reduce clinical documentation times. Prior to joining athenaHealth, James was an emergency room nurse at Boston Children’s Hospital, which helps him better understand and meet the needs of his clients. James is pursuing an MBA degree because he wants to better understand the needs of a business in order to help lead a healthcare technology startup. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Curry College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston College.

Araya Kiatmongkolkul

Araya is a former PR executive who worked with local PR company and event organizers to plan for the launch of products or introduction of companies coming into the market. The role was to plan PR-related tasks as well as create awareness among media through press kits which later would urge them to come to the launch event. The responsibilities included planning for event or product launch, writing press releases, approaching influencers, inviting media and KOLs, preparing press gifts and press kits for the media, reporting the post-event report including relevant KPIs. Prior to PR executive, Araya holds Bachelor degree in Finance and decided to change the direction and pursued a career in PR to gain experience and prepare her for pioneering her own business in the new era.

Araya is pursuing an MBA degree because she is starting her own business while also being positioned to supervise her family in expanding family business internationally. Planning to choose business intelligence as her major, she hopes to gain new perspectives as well as experiences shared with classmates from diverse backgrounds in order to help her explore the dynamic of international business and prepare for unexpected business-related obstacles. Araya holds a Bachelor Degree in business with major in Finance from Assumption University, Thailand. In addition, she also holds a Master Degree in organizational communications with Public Relations as her major from Northeastern University, Boston, MA.

Sophiea Lage

Sophiea Lage is a Tax Analyst who works with leaders and executives at John Hancock Investment Management to make valuable decisions impacting all the stakeholders. Sophiea prepares and reviews income and excise tax returns for the mutual funds. This includes handling additional supporting forms, schedules, and statements along with various fund elections needed to maintain funds Regulated Investment Company status, filing of extensions, reporting forms, and state returns. Prior to John Hancock, Sophiea had worked at H&R Block filing tax returns for individuals and businesses. Sophiea is pursuing an MBA/MSBA degree because she wants to get an in depth industry knowledge and move into an executive role. Sophiea is a Suffolk alumnus with an undergraduate degree in Corporate Finance.

Elizabeth Lesperance

Elizabeth Lesperance is an Auto Claims Examiner who works for Safety Insurance in Boston. As a claims adjuster, Elizabeth works with policyholders, claimants, and third party vendors to resolve claim-related matters. Elizabeth’s role involves handling personal auto claims from inception to resolution and her job entails assessing liability, determining coverage, and processing payments while providing excellent customer service. Elizabeth finds her job extremely rewarding. Auto accidents are unexpected and upsetting. Elizabeth enjoys being able to assist in this time of great need. Elizabeth is pursuing her MBA degree because she would like to assume a managerial role at her company. She aspires to be more of a leader. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Additionally, she has earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associates in Claims designation.

Kejd Lloshi 

Kejd is an implementation specialist liason in hospital software implementation. Kejd helps hospital lab teams maximize workflow efficiency. Kejd is pursuing an MBA to branch out into the business field.

Paula Lopera

Paula Lopera is a Marketing Manager at OVC (Oficinas Virtuales de Colombia) who works with small and medium sized companies to create individual promotions and unique spaces within which they can conduct business. Prior to attending Suffolk, Paula was responsible for competitive research within the shared working space industry, as well as running individual marketing campaigns for clientele. Paula is pursuing an MBA in order to learn the skills necessary to manage and operate a company. She hopes that one day these skills will allow her to run her own company. Paula holds a degree in engineering design from EAFIT University in Medellin Colombia. She and her team were awarded Most Innovative project during her 7th semester final project (a device used to aid disabled individuals who could not otherwise navigate city streets).

Casey MacDonald

Casey is a financial analyst analyzing sales, profit, and cash. Casey’s interests lie in financial planning and analysis. Casey is pursuing an MBA degree because he wants to expand his knowledge and expand his career opportunities. Casey studied finance at Stonehill College.

Mateusz Madry

Before MBA in Boston, Mateusz was a marketing specialist at Accenture in Poland for BMW client. He was responsible for training and supporting BMW markets from all over the world in maintaining their websites. Thanks to that experience he has gained lots of soft skills and practical knowledge regarding tools such as Adobe Experience Manager. Being a professional English teacher, Mateusz has always strived to help and teach people. Prior to Accenture, Mateusz worked at British Council where his main focus was to promote English culture and language. 

Mateusz is not only an enthusiast of exchanging knowledge but also an avid gamer. He is pursuing an MBA degree because he wants to pursue his career in the gaming industry, preferably from a marketing perspective. That will allow him to combine work and pleasure nicely. Mateusz holds a BA in English and English Language Teaching from University of Warsaw, Poland. He also studied at University of Turin, Italy where he participated in a student exchange program. He has various language certifications such as IELTS and Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English. Due to his previous occupations, he is proficient with CMS tools and social media. Apart from English, he also knows good French and Italian. And of course Polish.

Leila Marvel

Leila Marvel is an Operations Manager who works with the owner of a screening and embroidery company to run the floor, communicate with customers, take in orders and process them. The work that I do is a very important piece of the company. It keeps the whole system running properly, without someone being the point person for every order, the system would not work. Leila is pursuing an MBA degree because she wants to eventually own her own funeral home. Hoping to gain as much experience and learn as much about running a small business from the job she holds currently, she hopes to continue with this company until she can solidify a position in her desired field. Leila holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Bay State College.

Cassandra McBride

Cassandra McBride is the Senior Administrative Manager at New England Conservatory of Music. In her role, she oversees all administrative processes related to the Preparatory School and School of Continuing Education faculty. She also acts as a liaison with faculty regarding contracts and payroll procedures, and is responsible for budget management of both the Preparatory School and School of Continuing Education. Prior to her current role, Cassandra worked as a Program Manager within NEC’s Preparatory School, where she managed the operations, programming, and development of offerings for a portfolio of seven individual departments. She also led the planning and operations of international orchestral and choral performance tours to four different countries. Previously, Cassandra served as Production and Recording Services Manager at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, where she oversaw Longy’s three performance venues and concert venue rentals, and presided over the planning and preparation of over 200 performances annually. With her MBA from Sawyer Business School, Cassandra hopes to one-day serve in a position of leadership within an arts organization. Cassandra holds degrees from Emerson College and the Longy School of Music of Bard College.

Autumn Morrice

Autumn is a Marketing Associate who works at Performance Architects, Inc. She currently helps shape the company’s strategic direction in both tactical and strategic marketing and sales. Autumn also manages the company’s marketing and sales internship program. Prior to becoming a team member at Performance Architects, Inc., Autumn was an intern in their internship program. Throughout months of hard work on assignments, Autumn began to realize the impact her work had on a corporate company. At the time same, Autumn also realized the value of how her education related to her career experiences. Autumn is pursuing an MBA degree because one of the many things she learned while doing her undergraduate degree at Suffolk is that you should always keep learning; It will only help you grow. Autumn holds a BSBA in Management with a minor in Big Data and Business Analytics from Suffolk University.

Ayako Nishizuka

Ayako Nishizuka (Anna) is a full-time student at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. Prior to Suffolk, Anna worked as a sales representative and asset manager in the finance and real estate fields, most recently at a Real Estate Investment Trust company. The company focuses investing on shopping centers and she managed eight shopping centers in Japan and Malaysia. Prior to that, Anna worked at General Electric as an Account Executive. She was in a finance-lease department, and provided cost-effective purchase and renewal plans to clients’ staff and executives. Aside from that, her first job was Area Sales Representative in Real Estate Company. She was in a commercial facility department and made profitable land use plans, gave presentations to landowners and tenants. Anna is pursuing an MBA degree because her long-term career goal is to remove the financial anxiety which takes root in many people’s minds. She would like to work for those who are not familiar with investment and let these particularly vulnerable people know that investment can absolutely give them financial stability. She believes that earning a master’s degree at this business school would be the first step to make her dream come true. Anna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in International Business from Hosei University (Tokyo, JAPAN).

Casey O’Leary

Casey is pursuing a MBA degree to further her career in health care. She hopes to use this knowledge to get to the next level in healthcare administration at a Federally Qualified Health Center.

Melissa Schwartz  

Melissa Schwartz is a Human Resources Associate who works for Crane Currency. She supports departments both locally and internationally providing internal corporate communications and working on special projects throughout the year.Crane Currency is a provider to the US government, so roles and procedures are highly confidential. Melissa holds a security clearance enabling her to be a trusted member of the team. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Melissa worked as Economics Program Manager, hiring and overseeing Teaching Assistants. Melissa Schwartz is pursuing her MBA to expand on her undergraduate business education. Her objective is to continue working for Crane Currency, while at the same time, gaining the knowledge she needs to excel in a corporate environment. Melissa is focusing on Entrepreneurial Studies in order to broaden her educational experience. Melissa Schwartz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Marketing from the University of New Hampshire.

Mike Sanchez

Mike Sanchez is an Accounting and Finance Associate at GMO. Current responsibilities include processing payroll, revenue and cost sharing between subsidiaries, and assisting in the month end close and quarterly reporting. Mike reports directly to the Controller. Mike helps the company by preparing reports for upper management, reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts for month end close, and also managing the payroll process so that other employees get paid on time. Mike is pursuing an MBA degree to broaden his knowledge of the management process so he can further himself in a leadership role.Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University.

Kassio Santos

Kassio Santos is a Brand Specialist who works with the Chief Marketing Officer of Vibram USA to increase the brand awareness in the Boston area. Kassio works directly with the marketing team and the event manager to create and coordinate events and marketing campaigns for Vibram. Having worked for Covet & Lou for 2 years as their Marketing Coordinator he has relevant experience in the marketing field. Kassio is pursuing an MBA because he wants to gain more knowledge in Marketing analytics and he knows he will network with great businesses and peers. A job in Product management after graduation is ideal. Kassio has a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Communications & Promotion from Lasell College where he also studied event management as a minor.

Marissa Simon

Marissa Simon is a Product Filing Associate who works at Homesite Insurance. Marissa works with Product Management, IT, Compliance, and Government Affairs to prepare filings for state Division of insurance Approval. In this role, Marissa helps to implement new product offerings, works with the Compliance team to ensure compliance in the products, and updates existing products to achieve better competitive results. Marissa is pursuing an MBA because she seeks to gain experience and knowledge that will provide a broader understanding of the business world. Marissa hopes with her experience and education she will be able to become a manager in the insurance industry. Marissa holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Management with a minor in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Allison Sheahan

 Allison Sheahan is Senior Account Manager at Wayfair where she helps businesses streamline their purchasing process when it comes to outfitting spaces for their properties. Allison Sheahan wants to gain confidence and transferable skills that are applicable across many industries. Prior to Wayfair, Allison studied marketing and management at Assumption College. While at Assumption, Allison participated in student assembly and was the captain of the DII NCAA Field Hockey team. Allison Sheahan holds a Bachelors Degree Marketing Assumption College

Aimee Smith

Aimee Smith is a Program Manager who coordinates care delivery between Post-Acute service lines to improve care for the senior population. She serves as the primary point of contact between Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and the Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) at Hebrew SeniorLife to implement, revise, and refine processes required of ACO partnerships by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data while maintaining hospital and facility relationships. Aimee works to improve the lives of the senior population by implementing, reviewing and refining programs and processes using LEAN Methodology, data analysis, and interpretation.  Aimee is pursuing an MBA degree because it will improve her overall work performance as well as give her the ability to explore opportunities to advance within Hebrew SeniorLife or outside of it.Aimee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She enrolled in the full-time online program in 2011 and completed the degree in December of 2013. She holds a certificate in LEAN leadership and is a graduate of the LeadingAge Leadership Academy, class of 2017.

Jessica Smith  

Jessica Smith is a Registered Nurse who addresses the healthcare needs of inmates detained at a local county jail. Jessica manages patients’ medications and sick call requests, assists medical providers in minor medical procedures, manages complex patient illnesses, and responds to medical and mental health emergencies. Jessica works directly alongside Correctional staff in ensuring a safe environment is maintained at all times. Jessica is pursuing an MBA degree with a focus in Healthcare Administration in order to transition into a role in management where she can use her experience as a Registered Nurse to face the problems of the Nation’s healthcare system. Jessica also holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Saint John Fisher College and a bachelor of science in brain and cognitive science from the University of Rochester. Jessica is currently a licensed Registered Nurse in both the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and New York State

Yuran Tian 

Yuran Tian is a graduate fellow who works with Proffesor Guannan Wang at the Accounting Department to help with financial statements. The task is to collect the footnote of FTSE100 companies. Yuran thinks working as a graduate fellow helps to gain some working experiences and loves to do hands-on projects. Yuran is pursuing an MBA degree because she wants to work at some start-up companies after graduation. Yuran holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Saint Michael’s College.

Sharrilyn M. Rose 

Sharrilyn M. Rose is an Account Underwriter at Travelers Insurance Company. In her position, she underwrites and assesses small to mid-sized businesses for Management Liability coverages, i.e. Cyber, Crime, Employment Practices Liability, Kidnap & Ransom, Directors and Officers, ID Fraud. She utilizes analytics and tools to assist in the sale and pricing of accounts. She also develops and maintains relationships with agency partners and participates in agency training sessions. In January 2019, she was promoted from an Associate Account Underwriter. Sharrilyn’s job duties are extremely important because she is responsible for ensuring that the limits of liability insurance being requested by an applicant or an insured are enough to cover the potential exposures inherent of the particular business and/or industry she is underwriting. Sharrilyn is pursuing an MBA degree because it has been a personal goal of hers for many years. Having her MBA will deepen her skillset, develop her thought processes and enhance her leadership qualities. Sharrilyn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX.

Luke Pappalardo 

Luke Pappalardo is a producer who works with musicians to help them meet their creative aspirations. Luke Pappalardo finds meaning in his work because he believes that the art he is involved with creating helps for people to see themselves better, and also helps artists reach their full potential. Luke Pappalardo is pursuing an MBA degree because he wants to deepen his skill set and become a driving force in the music industry from a business and creative standpoint. Luke Pappalardo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production & Engineering and Music Business from Berklee College of Music.

Kevin Perperian 

Kevin Perperian works as a maintenance/mechanic for the state of Massachusetts at the Melrose Housing Authority. I am responsible for maintaining roughly 300 units spread out all throughout my home town of Melrose. What takes up most of my time while working is plumbing and electrical, which I have been learning since the age of five. Kevin is pursuing an MBA degree because he would like to further his education. He is hopeful that getting his MBA at Suffolk is the right path to eventually allow him become a CPA, and eventually end up in corporate accounting. He hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics from Salem State University and got the chance to study under some brilliant minds who had been in the field for over 30 years.

Andrew Sherman 

Andrew Sherman is a Law Clerk who works with Harmon Law Offices, P.C. to protect creditors rights. He began at Harmon Law Office’s before joining the JD/MBA program at Suffolk as a Legal Assistant. Andrew is responsible for assisting creditors to maintain compliance with legal regulations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Also, I am responsible for assisting banking institutions in finding solutions to their legal problems while assisting in protecting their rights in foreclosure, eviction and civil litigation proceedings. Andrew Sherman is pursuing an MBA degree because he desires skills and knowledge that will assist him in understanding how businesses work and how to manage them. Upon graduating from the JD/MBA program, Andrew Sherman hopes to work as an in-house counsel for a Boston based business or start-up company. Andrew Sherman holds a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts in Boston.

Ji Shi  

Ji Shi worked as an assistant in the marketing department. Her main responsibilities were writing articles and shooting pictures to update company Wechat account, organizing marketing activities, and assisting other departments. Prior to New Oriental Education and Technology Group, Ji worked in education. As an educator, when she faced the parents and students to deal with problems, Ji had to become a patient and responsible person. Ji is pursuing an MBA degree because she wants to get more out of her Bachelor degree and hopefully become a marketing manager in the future. Ji holds a bachelor’s degree from HeiHe University in China.

Jack Zoller

Jack Zoller is a full-time MBA student who entered the financial planning space following his undergraduate study at Loyola University Maryland. At Lighthouse Wealth Management, a boutique financial planning firm in central Maryland, Jack assisted with daily client needs including general money movement, trade execution, and service-related inquiries. He was also integral to the overall improvement of systems and processes related to client documentation and data storage. Jack is pursuing an MBA degree to advance his analytical knowledge of the finance industry and position himself for management roles in the future. He hopes to embark on a new profession in Boston following his MBA degree. Ivan Zuraev is a Business Development Manager who works with Ulaanbaatar Management LLC to analyze prospects and opportunities in the construction materials manufacturing and infrastructure development markets. Ivan assists in managing the supply chain for the manufacturing of reinforced and prestressed concrete products and reports to the CEO and CFO. Ivan is pursuing an MBA degree because his goal is to work on complex infrastructural development projects. Ivan plans to attain the Project Management Professional Certification from PMI and the Certified Supply Chain Professional from APICS. Ivan holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from National University of Mongolia.
