Are you studying full time or part time?: Full time student and part time marketing intern.
Do you have work experience? If so, where/what: I have work experience in multiple industries including hospitality, assistance, and education. I worked as an F&B Management Trainee at 5-star hotel located in Yantai, China where my daily responsibilities involved, but were not limited to the following: supervision of western restaurant, mentoring Chinese members of staff in ESL (English as a Second Language), as well as customer relations. I also worked as an Assistance Coordinator at Assistance Company located in my hometown Moscow, Russia, where I was coordinating multiple medical cases simultaneously across the globe using the email, phone, as well as special software for communication purposes with insurance companies. As of now, I implement the marketing plan, which I developed through the past summer 2019, as well as create and maintain the event calendar, which help me to develop a new marketing plan.
Why did you choose to get your MBA?: I chose to complete my MBA as a degree because I want to learn how businesses work from inside out. I am particularly interested in the marketing component of it and that is why I added MSM program to my degree.
What is your ultimate career goal?: My ultimate goal is to become a senior marketing manager in a small firm; however, before I do that, there are so many things that I both need and want to learn, including Digital Marketing, Strategic Marketing, Quantitative & Qualitative Research, and many more.
What has been your favorite part of your graduate experience at Suffolk so far?: My most favorite part of my graduate experience that I have at Suffolk is probably my participation at student associations, at which I highly contribute to event planning and that is something that I enjoy doing.
What advice would you give to incoming SBS grad students?: My advice that I would give to incoming SBS grad students probably would be knowing where you are now and understanding where you want to be in the future is a must. Without having a clear idea in mind in regards to career planning could turn life to miserable experience.
Share a fun fact about yourself: One fun fact about myself is that I got married recently, as well as came back from my honeymoon to a real life, which is the final fall 2019 semester at Suffolk University.
