Innovation Meets Corporate: CES and Beyond

This graduate-level immersion course will explore the point at which entrepreneurial innovation competes with corporate innovation while simultaneously seeking corporate retail partnerships as part of their go-to-market strategy. Centered on the annual Consumer Electronics Show (Las Vegas, NV), students will be exposed to the marketplace where all industry players and product category clusters come together in one geographic location. Students will not only observe but be responsible for analyzing an opportunity/problem and presenting a recommendation to industry players (in this case either a startup or a global retailer).
What to Expect
- Experience the largest trade show in the world, both as an attendee and exhibitor
- Execute tactics and debrief experience for Boston consumer electronics startup
- Understand what technology will be arriving in the near future, and get behind-the-scenes access to longer term innovations
- Flash consulting for Fortune 500 player in CE industry
- Participate in the emerging entrepreneurial culture of Las Vegas (Llamapolis and Downtown Container Park)…it’s not just gambling!
