Upon graduating from Queens, I served two years with Notre Dame Mission Volunteers AmeriCorps. In Baltimore City, MD I served at the Village Learning Place as the Youth and Adult Program Assistant. After a successful year of service, I moved back to Boston to serve for an additional year at Brookline’s Steps to Success Inc. I am a first-generation immigrant and the first person in my family to attend law school. I chose to attend Suffolk to gain tools to combat racism and to unite the Black Community.

Hometown: Hanover, Ma
Undergraduate Degree: B.S. in Natural Resource Conservation from UMass Amherst
I am dedicated to community and conservation. After graduating from UMass Amherst in 2016, I served with AmeriCorps TerraCorps, teaching in the ten communities that make up the Buzzards Bay watershed in southeastern Massachusetts. During my time working in these communities, we interacted with every 4th and 5th grade student in the watershed. My time with AmeriCorps sparked my interest in non-profit work, juvenile justice, and conservation. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work with the Department of Youth Services, refine my research skills working under immigration attorneys, as well as gain experience working for Boston’s oldest environmental law firm.

Undergraduate Degree: B.A. in History and Philosophy from Salem State University
Before starting at Suffolk law, I worked as a paralegal for an international energy company, focusing primarily on corporate governance and compliance. While there, I was lucky enough to travel for business throughout Europe, kick-starting a wanderlust that has taken me to cities along the Mediterranean Sea, Dubai, and South Africa. While working as a paralegal, my interest in the legal field, particularly in corporate law grew and inspired me to start my law school career.
Courtney Cooper
Treasurer
Hometown: Beaumont, Tx
Undergraduate Degree: B.S. in Accounting and Communication Studies from Saint Edward’s University
My interest in financial literacy started in college. While majoring in Accounting, I took an Income Tax class, which initially sparked my interest in taxes. My interest furthered as I volunteered with a local tax preparation organization. My passion for tax prompted my post-graduation job as a tax analyst at Wayne Fueling Systems, a fuel dispenser manufacturing company in Austin, Texas. While in this role, I enjoyed conducting legal research on matters related to corporate taxes, domestic (sales and use tax), and international taxes (VATs).
Taylor Morgan
Chief Justice
Hometown: Chantilly, VA
Undergraduate Degree: B.S. in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University
After undergraduate, I chose Suffolk University Law School to concentrate in Trial & Appellate Advocacy and explore the Northeast region’s plentiful history and scenery. To further enrich my litigation-based legal education, I became an SJC Rule 3:03 Certified Student Attorney in Suffolk Law’s Juvenile Defenders Clinic and am pursuing my second year on the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team. Serving our student body as the SBA Chief Justice has significantly added to the pleasures of law school. I look forward to continuing to learn throughout my legal career and utilize my skills to make this world a better place for all.
