Introduction:
In this lab, we first build a car that can be driven with the program, Learn Smart. Then we measure and compare the estimated and measured values of the different parameters, distance, number of wheel rotations, and velocity. In order to get more precise result, we have two trials each with different time.
Equipment:
Robot car
Learn Smart
Ruler
Result:
From the screenshot, we can see that there is a 7~8% difference in the estimated and measured distance for both trials. And the difference is passed onto velocity causing an even greater difference.
Conclusion:
The difference is mostly due to inaccurate measurement. It is hard to be 100% correct with the measuring, we can only get as close to the real values as we can. Also, we used the circumference given by the instructor, instead of what was measure. This might have caused a certain amount of error as well. Overall, the result should be within the acceptable range.
