Generator Lab – RC

IMG_5480

Based on what we information we were given in class, “Faraday’s Law states that changing magnetic fluxes through coiled wires generate electricity (currents and voltage).   The greater is the change in magnetic flux, the greater are the currents and voltages.” In the experiment we were to shake the tube that was given to us and record the results of it.  The expected results of the experiment were supposed to show that the faster you shake the tube, the greater will be the generated voltage. As well as we were to demonstrate how energy could generate with the shakes.

Results of the Experiment:

1st Trial

Time- 30 seconds

Shakes- 64

Sum of squared voltages- 2.24

2nd Trial

Time- 30

Shakes- 104

Sum of Squared voltages- 1.58

3rd Trial

Time-30 seconds

Shakes- 106

Sum of Squared voltages- 3.82

4th Trial

Time- 30 seconds

Shakes- 67

Sum of Squared voltages- 1.78

5th trail

Time- 30 seconds

shakes-61

sum of squared voltages- 1.08
