About Ramplify

“The Suffolk University Career Center launched Ramplify in Fall 2021 as a way to amplify the voices and stories of members of our Ram family. The podcast represents a new and creative resource for students to learn about career readiness through the modality of conversational interviews. These interviews feature faculty and staff, current and graduated students, local and national employers, and other community partners. We proudly partner with the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, producers and content developers in Media Services, and the Office of Marketing Communications team. We hope that this podcast will have a significant reach and support our institutional goals around experiential learning, employer and alumni engagement, and overall student retention.”

Our Values

Ramplify, as well as each of the initiatives supported by the Suffolk University Center for Career Equity, Development & Success, aligns with our broader institutional core values and strives to uplift inclusive excellence. The following represents each of the values that guide the development of this initiative as we continually strive to produce high-quality, relevant, and timely career-related support.

Accessibility

We value accessibility. We are committed to ensuring that all people have access to the content that we create including hearing- impaired and otherwise disabled folks. We leverage concepts from Universal Design for Learning (UDL) as well as other best practices to ensure an accessible experience for all.

Credibility

We value credibility. We strive to develop and maintain resources that are well-informed and represent a wide breadth of the most relevant cultural and practical wisdom available.

Justice

We value justice. As a community, we unite against all forms of injustice. We reject bigotry, oppression, degradation, and harassment, and we challenge systems of oppression toward any individual or collective within and expansive of our community.

Open Dialogue

We value open dialogue. We invite the open exchange of ideas from all members of the community while fostering spaces that are safe, affirming, and inclusive. We believe that through collaboration, each of us has an important role in determining the narratives that are told and uncovered.

Relatability

We value relatability. We intend to build community with, for and alongside students, faculty, staff, alums, employers, community partners, and other business entities and institutions of higher education in the Greater Boston Area.

Representation

We value representation. We have the opportunity to uplift the voices of individuals and communities who have been historically muted by society. We recognize the offerings of many marginalized populations as traditionally untapped wisdom and commit to working with a representative group of collaborators.
