To Open, or Not to Open, That is the Question

Since the closing of Broadway abruptly on the 12th of March 2020, the theatre world has found itself in shambles. The Broadway industry in New York alone contributes around 14.7 billion dollars to the New York economy a year according to statistics from the 2018-2019 season. Broadway tours contribute even more, and can make larger margins than the shows in New York City. With those shows closed as well, there is no current substantial income for the shows.
