  1. Each country has been reacting differently to this pandemic from education to politics to even how people wear their masks. Each culture differs a lot from others but I love how they are tying their culture into their masks and making it more of a reusable mask whereas in the US we are commonly wearing typical N95 masks. Are these masks that are being created just as protective as the N95 or is more of a style over safety thing? Ghana is mentioned as underdeveloped country compared to the US as it already is but the people there are trying to find new alternatives to wearing a mask everyday such as tying their culture into them. There are people worldwide making masks out of any fabric or material they can find. What can they do to ensure that they are just as safe or do they need to add more protection since it is made out of beads?

  2. I think that making fashionable masks might be a good idea. Theoretically. If whoever makes them will follow the rule of the fabric thickness and, I believe, a specific number of layers as well, to make sure those mask actually serve their purpose. In that case, making the mask a part of a personal style, the ones’ look, might be more convincing to wear them all the time and everywhere. I don’t think that those who avoid masks at the moment or use them as a “chin-guard” do it because masks aren’t stylish enough. Of course not. But I do believe that psychologically, making mask as a trend, will be effective. I’ve been to China few times, long time before pandemic and everyone was wearing face masks there. There was no virus spreading that time, but just the air in lots of Chinese regions is very polluted, people use it as a different king of protection. Nonetheless, it was a local trend and EVERYONE was wearing a mask, which usually perfectly match the outfit.
