I like how you showed that not just the “average” citizen is responsible for spreading misinformation through social media, and that major in influencers such as, politicians and government officials, are also guilty of spreading misinformation to their constituents. After reading this blog post, I wonder what actions that could potentially be taken to prevent major influencers from enabling the spread of misinformation, and if there should be legal consequences for those who purposely intend to spread misinformation, knowing that the spread of misinformation will endanger the nations response to a public health emergency.

  2. I like how you point out the lengths people will go to not follow the rules to keep other safe. Creating these false flyers to be exempt of wearing masks only puts others in harm and as you said, is a huge factor as to why their has been an increase in cases. The beginning of the pandemic was even more of an unknown as it is now and for a leader to spread false information, led to the harm of many Americans. Hopefully as the virus continues, the leaders and voices of America will come together to better spread the correct information.
