I found both documents on the congressional database, Proquest. I took quite a while to find the documents that were going to support my question, mostly because this topic is quite specific. The words I used to find the document were “9/11”, “Children” ,“Mental Health”, “New York City” and “Grief”.

In this case the three documents are from three committees, Committee on the Judiciary (House), Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (Senate), Committee on Energy and Commerce (House).

These documents relate to my topic because they directly cover the lives of New Yorkers after 9/11, additionally they cover the direct response to this tragic event, and the ways in which we altered our social system in a time of immense anger and grief.

• What does this document add to your personal document analysis?

It adds evidence and real-life support for my question, in addition to educating me further on the ways in which large-scale tragedies can affect the ways we interact with our world.
