Discrimination, Identity, and Psychological Outcomes (DIP) Study
This project aims to evaluate the mental health impacts of racial, sexual, and gender microaggressions and understand factors that may mitigate the negative mental health costs of discrimination among racial, gender, and sexual minorities. The project consists of two phases: a) a one-time comprehensive battery of self-report questionnaires; and, b) a brief daily diary survey to track discriminatory experiences and mood over a one-month period.
Mind-Body and Race (eMBRace) Study
This is a qualitative study that consists of focus group interviews with racially minoritized women who completed an 8-week mindfulness intervention. Women were asked to discuss if/how they have coped with racism, and whether they used mindfulness strategies they learned from the group to cope.
