MIT Nuclear Reactor Lab Field Trip

After going on a field trip to the MIT Nuclear Reactor laboratory in Cambridge, Boston, MA. I learned that it is a center for research, and includes 2 tank-type researcher reactors. It operates by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission I learned that the MITR operates on atmospheric pressure. To enter the facility I was fascinated by the steps we had to take to go in to enter inside where all the experiments go on. The tour exit making sure we did not have any radioactive on us. I also found the medical irradiation room cool to look inside where they would have their subject matter sitting to be tested. The experiments they do seem to be beneficial, to patients from such Mass General, and where they collect other samples to see if there is any radioactive reactor in them.
