Palawan, being the true paradise that it is, has several beaches that you’ll absolutely love. From pristine white sand to clear blue waters, these Palawan beaches will leave you mesmerised as well as relaxed and refreshed from the moment you step on its sands. Let’s explore them now-
Anilao Beach
Palawan is home to a long list of beautiful places to spend your days. One of these destinations is Anilao Beach in Nasugbu, Batangas. This wonderful beach includes a big stretch of white sand and amazing coral reefs perfect for scuba diving or snorkelling. There are also resorts and restaurants within walking distance so you can get fresh food even if you’re on vacation. Meanwhile, at Apo Reef Beach Resort in Malay – another one of the best beaches in Palawan – there’s plenty of space for everybody with beachside lounging areas with hammocks and cabanas as well as its own swimming pool. Don’t forget the lagoon pool where kids will have an absolute blast playing around while adults relax under the sun.
Lagundi Beach
One of the best beaches in Palawan is Lagundi Beach. Nestled at the heart of El Nido, Palawan, this beach is surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and dense foliage. The striking contrast between the white sand and crystal clear water really makes a photo worth a thousand words.
Furthermore, there are many attractions around the area including landmarks like Twin Lagoon and Infinity Cove which make this beach a must visit when visiting El Nido.
White Island
Located around 80 km south of Puerto Princesa, Palawan is White Island – a place best explored by boat. It’s accessible by motorboat or canoes and it’s one of the many places where people might have even seen dolphins playing. White Island is also home to some of the most striking scenery in all of Asia, like limestone cliffs and caves decorated with dazzling marine life.
Calitang Cove Beach
If you’re looking for a classic and still secluded beach escape, then this is the place for you. The Beach is located just outside of El Nido town and stretches for 3 kilometres of untouched sand. For travellers who prefer being away from the hubbub of major tourist destinations, Calitang Cove Beach should be your go-to spot in Palawan.
Balicasag Island
If stunning cliff diving, clear blue waters, white sand shores and an exquisite serenity are on your list of ideal beach experiences, then Balicasag Island is the place for you. There are several tours available to the island (usually via boat) but it’s also possible to visit it by paddle board or kayak. The secluded island is only accessible at low tide so you can expect a bit of exercise getting there. But once you’re there, you won’t regret it. Make sure to pack enough water though because you won’t find any nearby. It’s advisable to bring plenty of insect repellent too as mosquitoes do tend to bother some people more than others.
