My cafe project is my first attempt at a commercial space. I love cafes and can spend hours upon hours in them. This specific cafe is suppose to be for Suffolk students to come and hangout with friends or get some work done. When I think of cafes, I think of warm and comfortable places to sit and zone out. That’s why I chose to go with neutral and brown tones to create a space someone wants to come to for the day. There’s a variety of seating from booth to tables with plenty of breathing space in between. To add a playful twist to a college cafe, I named it Tic Tac Toe, and incorporate buts and pieces of this game concept within my design, especially within the booth design.
