Suffolk University Law Review Online is currently accepting submissions for three categories of pieces for publication: Essays, Commentaries, and Responses.
- Essay: a brief look at an emerging legal issue (3,000-5,000 words, lightly footnoted, anticipated publication timeline of 2-4 weeks).
- Response: a brief, scholarly response to another piece of writing in either our print or online editions (2,000 words max, lightly footnoted, anticipated publication timeline of 1-2 weeks).
- Commentary: an immediate reaction to a new development in the law, such as reviewing a recent decision, or predicting a pending one (2,000 words max, lightly footnoted, anticipated publication timeline of 1-3 weeks).
We also publish Case Notes from current members of the Law Review in our online edition.
- Case Note: a brief look at a recent court decision. The focus of the analysis in a Case Note is on predicting the future impact of the court’s decision on future litigation in the area (3,000 word maximum).
