American Society for Public Administration (ASPA)

Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA)

The Massachusetts Municipal Association is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association that provides advocacy, training, publications, research and other services to Massachusetts cities and towns. The MMA is the only statewide organization that brings municipal officials together to establish unified policies, to advocate these policies, and to ensure the effective delivery of services to residents.

Massachusetts Nonprofit Network

The Massachusetts Nonprofit Network is the only statewide organization in the Commonwealth dedicated to uniting and strengthening the entire nonprofit sector through advocacy, public awareness, and capacity-building.

MNN has more than 700 nonprofit members from the Berkshires to the Cape and Islands. These amazing organizations and their thousands of employees are the heart and soul of their community and important economic engines. They have budgets ranging from under $250,000 to over $100 million, and the range of causes and constituents they serve is just as wide.

National Forum for Black Public Administrators – Boston Chapter

The NFBPA is a national organization representing over 2500 members and over 350 jurisdictions with 40 chapters across the United States. The organization includes city, state, county and federal managers as well as professionals, educators, business people, students of public administration and allied disciplines. The Boston Chapter has been active since 1991. The Boston Chapter holds monthly meetings with guest speakers between September and May at the Justice Resource Institute in Downtown Boston on various topics related to professional and career development as well as community education and civic outreach. In 2012 we had guest speakers including William “Mo” Cowan from Governor Deval Patrick’s Office, Rosa L.Hunter form the Union of Minority Neighborhoods and a Report from the Boston Public Health Commission on the Health of Boston Neighborhoods.
