MPA Mentor Program

Mentor relationships offer insights into career and leadership development. They can also help you gain a deeper understanding of different career paths. All full-time and part-time MPA students are invited to participate in the the Mentor Program, which connects students with Suffolk alumni and friends who are professionals across the public sector – from the State House, Town Halls, Hospitals, Universities, and a host of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and socially-conscious businesses across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

To participate in the Mentor Program, complete the Mentor Contact Form (available at the start of the academic year). You will be matched with a mentor in September. Mentor pairs meet one-on-one at least once a month from September through May and are provided with suggested topics to focus on at each meeting.

The following are just a few of the mentors who have participated in this program:

  • David Abdoo, Media and Intergovernmental Affairs Officer, US Department of Health and Human Services
