NESAD students swept the awards at this year’s Career Day competition — congratulations to all!
Congrats to MAIA students Farida Sadliwala and Lilit Revazian, who both took home awards from the American Society of Interior Designers—New England last month! Work was judged in 18 categories, with Farida winning in the Student Residential and Contract-Retail categories, and Lilit in the Student Contract Corporate category.

MAIA alum Jennifer Clapp and her Boston firm Hacin + Associates recently won the IIDA 42nd annual Interior Design Competition. The award honors outstanding design in the categories of corporate, education, entertainment, heathcare, hospitality, hotels, institutional, residences, restaurants, retails, showroom/exhibition, and spa/fitness.
Jennifer’s firm won for a Newton Tudor Residence project, which you can view below, and on the IIDA website. Congrats, Jennifer!

Several NESAD students submitted work for the IIDA New England Interior Design Awards this year. The students were recognized at last week’s award ceremony, and MAIA student Natalia Villanova Mitre won an IIDA award for her graduate thesis project. Congrats to all involved!

Congrats to MAIA student Kim Boutwell, one of the 2014 winners of the IIDA NE Student Scholarship!
Applicants submitted a two-page digital portfolio, two letters of recommendation, a current class schedule, and a scholarship application describing where they hoped their design career path would take them. After a fierce competition with many creative submissions three talented winners were awarded scholarships in the amount of $1,200 each!
