IFI Interiors Declaration Signed

In February, the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers developed and voted on a declaration establishing a vision/mission statement for the Interior professions.

Those who attended IFI President Shashi Caan’s lecture at Suffolk University in January heard her talk about this initiative, which culminated in the signing of the declaration at the IFI DFIE Global Symposium in New York City on February 17th and 18th.

Knoll Textiles Internship Program

KnollTextiles, founded in 1947 by Florence Knoll, was the first company to address the fabric needs of the contemporary office.  Today, KnollTextiles is one of the largest textiles suppliers in North America.  KnollTextiles offers some of the most technically advanced materials in the industry, combining beauty and hospitality, retail, educational, healthcare and residential interiors.

As a design student, KnollTextiles can offer you an opportunity for growth beyond the classroom.  The Knoll Internship program exposes students who are as serious about good design as we are an insight to the commercial design industry.

With the internship program, students will familiarize themselves with our extensive line of fabrics by helping the sales rep maintain our showroom library.  Library duties involve ordering and putting away missing samples, updating textile boxes and binders, mailing samples to clients, and helping clients in the showroom pick out fabrics.  Students will also have an opportunity to spend time with our Sales Rep and attend client appointments for in-the-field experience.

If you are interested in applying for an internship or would like to find out more information about our program, please contact Joanna Gebhardt at KnollTextiles.
