Last week I attended the Museum of Science for the first time. It was a really great experience. The interactive abilities of certain exhibits are great tools for teaching both children and adults.
For the first part of the trip we made it a point to see the energy section. I really enjoyed seeing the wind turbine because this is what my group is experiment is based on. It was interesting to track the energy created in the Museum of Sciences lab.
Another interesting exhibit was the Gecko environment. It was really cool to see the effects of selective breeding and all of the different sizes and colors of one reptile.
The best part of my trip was the chick exhibit. In an incubator there were at least eight eggs on one side and on the other there were a few baby chicks no older than 48 hours. It was so cute to see the babies learning to walk and stumbling. Although I did not stay long enough to watch a chick hatch, there was one that was still wet when I got there. It is interesting to see how quickly they adjust to life.
