Read the three readings listed under Week 3.  You can bring your notes.

For Lotz and McRobbie, find out what their definitions of postfeminism are and whether they think it is an useful concept to understand gender and media.

For Joseph, find out what her definition of post-race is and whether she thinks it is an useful concept to understand race, gender, and media.

Also, think about if they agree with each other on the definitions of postfeminism.

In class, you will do an in-class writing (10 minutes).  To prepare for it, you can (a) underline the answers on your articles so that you can go back there for the in-class writing; (b) write down on a piece of paper your answers (1-2 sentences per question) and turn it in in class.
