Contemporary Science and Innovation

This is a freshman seminar course entitled Contemporary Science and Innovation (SCI 184) taught by Dr. Gregory Sonek.  Over the course of the semester we’ll be exploring issues surrounding sustainability and it’s science through activities using Lego Mindstorm (think your lovable childhood favorite but for scientists) along with other experiments, and the usual readings and assignments.

During the final month of the semester we’ll be condcuting a service project to teach oother Suffolk university student about sustainability. It’ll be a laboratory exercise designed by the students of this class in collaboration with others of a different section. So look out for that in a couple of months.

Expect at least two blogs every week. One will be about the Lego Mindstorm activity of the week and the second on sustainabability topics tbd.
