Journalists

Introduction to Broadcast Journalism

Introduces students to newswriting, production, and performance techniques for radio and television. Students write, produce, and perform new packages as part of the course.

Photojournalism

An introduction to the role of photography in the journalistic process. A discussion of photography as communication and a survey of the history of photography.

Internships

Students can take advantages of Boston and New England locations for relevant internships! Internships can be registered with or without credits. Some internships are paid.
In recent years, students have interned at: Bazelevs Production, the Boston Globe, Somerville Media Center, WBGH, WJAR Channel 10 (Providence).

Studio 73

Students learn beyond the classroom.  Studio 73 provides opportunities for work study students and volunteers to experience what it is like to work in a TV studio!
