Welcome to Archer Seminar Bible Blog. The idea for this class and this blog is to collect as much information as we can about people’s attitudes to the Bible as a cultural document. We would like and appreciate your thoughts and comments here.
1. I read the gospel and liturgical readings every day. They ground me for whatever will come my way.
2. I love the story of Naomi and Ruth. It is a story of fidelity, caring and love and it involves strong women!
3. I believe that the bible was written to inspire, and was never intended to be taken literally. It was not the literature style of the times.
4. I really do not visualize the people or events. I read for the meaning and lesson being given.
