1994 – Barbara Sherman (Interior Design) emailed us to say that she had retired as of December 2012. She spent most of her career at Wilson Butler Architects in Boston working on entertainment-related projects on land and at sea, participating in the design of new and restored performance venues as well as other public spaces. She will continue with the firm on a contract basis, doing projects with special appeal. Barbara also plans to travel more with her husband, spend more time with her now 9-month-old granddaughter Maddie, and continue doing watercolors of architectural details inspired by her trips to Italy and other beautiful places. Barbara also mentioned her two successful hires of NESADSU graduates for WBA – Jillian Welenc (MA in Interior Design 2009) and Rebecca Emanuel (Interior Design 2007), who are continuing the NESADSU tradition at the firm.
